Mother's Prayer

Oh, give me patience
When wee hands
Tug at me with their
Small demands,
And give me
Gentle and smiling eyes.
Keep my lips from hasty replies.
And let not weariness,
Confusion or noise
Obscure my vision of
Life's fleeting joys.
So when, in years to come
My house is stil. . .
No bitter memories
Its rooms may fill.

May I add...
"and fill my heart with love and smiles
when laundry abounds in heaps and piles
and school work drags for miles and miles
and a puppy pukes upon the tiles..."

Seriously, I love this poem Rebekah. I know these days are fleeting (which the above poem describes my Tuesday...;) and I truly want to relish my everyday life with my littles.

I LOVED your post below; I thought I commented but I don't see it...I want to print this post out and remember it. It was such a good reminder to L.O.V.E. Especially those closest to us...it all starts there! How can we love others sufficiently if we are not loving those in our home as we should?
Speaking of L.O.V.E.....I love you! ;)
Can't wait for next week! (bring your gas mask! ;)
